Most of the Arctic, like most of the world, is commonly owned. With ownership comes the obligation to manage our resources for the benefit of the total. To do that, we must understand the reality, the richness, and the responsibility of the North.

– Governor Walter J. Hickel, Founder

Arctic Directory

Background

The Institute of the North, in collaboration with PNWER, has developed an Arctic Directory. An action item of the PNWER Arctic Caucus, this resource describes organizations, agencies and companies working on Arctic issues in member regions - Alaska, Yukon and the Northwest Territories - and corresponding federal governments, as well as international bodies.

This relationship map also acts as a directory, with contact information and web links provided where available.

For edits, additions or additional input, contact Institute Research Associate Geoff Cooper, at gcooper@institutenorth.org. For questions about PNWER, or the Arctic Caucus, contact Steve Myers at steve@pnwer.org.
