Most of the Arctic, like most of the world, is commonly owned. With ownership comes the obligation to manage our resources for the benefit of the total. To do that, we must understand the reality, the richness, and the responsibility of the North.

Norway Policy Tour

The Institute of the North has developed a short follow up trip to Norway on June 19 and 20, as part of a larger group going to Finland during that period. The two-day session is available either as an add-on to those otherwise participating in the Finland tour or separately to those wanting to focus solely on Norway.

On Thursday, June 19, we will be in Stavanger meeting with the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, which organizes offshore oil and gas exploration and production projects; and Petoro, Norway's state co-investment company.

On Friday, June 20th, we will be in Oslo to meet with the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, and Ministry of Finance, as well as Tschudi Shipping.

The Institute will organize the flight from Oslo to Stavanger, the overnight stay in Stavanger, as well as ground transportation in both locations and group meals. Total cost will be $750 per person. Attendees will be responsible for getting to/from Norway, and any other costs.

Please RSVP to Nils Andreassen at nandreassen@institutenorth.org by June 1 to confirm your participation.
