Audio: Adjutant General of Alaska addresses the IWG
The Independent Working Group on Missile Defense met in Washington, DC in June to roll out their 2009 report. At that meeting, the Adjutant General of Alaska, Lt. General Craig Campbell, gave an overview of Alaska’s role in missile defense of the United States. Campbell asked the question, "Where does missile defense fit into homeland security? Where does it actually cascade into a state domestic response event, where governors are very concerned, where homeland security is very concerned, and how does this missile defense concept we have, fit in a homeland security role?”
Since the date of this presentation, Lt. General Craig Campbell has become the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Alaska.
